Terms of Service

Dave the Evil Cat ("Dave", "the bot") operates as a bot in a single Discord server, The Blanket Fort, where it acts as that server's universal helper, and as a user-installed app that individual users can install to their own Discord account. Dave cannot be added to any other server. By using Dave's commands, installing it to your account, or accessing its web dashboard at davidthecattery.cc, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use Dave and remove any install of it from your account.

1. What Dave Does

Dave provides antiraid protection, a custom moderation system, custom-role and verification commands, fun community commands, and other features for its home server, along with a web dashboard for managing them. As a user-installed app, some of Dave's commands are also available to you individually across servers and in DMs, subject to Discord's own limits on what user-installed apps can do.

2. Acceptable Use

You may not use Dave to violate Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines, to harass or harm other users, to spam or abuse the bot's commands, to attempt to bypass or exploit its antiraid or moderation systems, to attempt to exploit, reverse engineer, or disrupt the bot or its infrastructure, or for any illegal purpose.

3. Availability

Dave is provided "as is," without guarantees of uptime, and may be updated, restarted, or taken offline at any time without notice. Features may change or be removed.

4. Moderation and Antiraid

Dave's moderation and antiraid systems are configured by its home server's admins and act automatically to protect that server. Actions taken by these systems, or by moderators using Dave's tools, are the responsibility of that server's staff, not Dave's operators.

5. Custom Roles and Verification

Commands that let you customize a personal role or complete verification are provided for members of Dave's home server. Misuse of these commands (e.g. impersonation, evading verification) may result in role or access removal.

6. Termination

Access to Dave, whether through the home server or as an app installed to your account, can be revoked at any time, for any reason, including violations of these terms.

7. Limitation of Liability

Dave is provided free of charge and without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dave's operators are not liable for any damages arising from use of the bot or dashboard.

8. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of Dave after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
